My wife, 4 year old daughter and I had a wonderful vacation (our first in many years) to Walt Disney World last autumn. I just ran across this old photo of Walt Disney reading to his grandson, Christopher Disney Miller, in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Palace at Disneyland.

It made me smile. How cool would it be to have a grandfather like that? His grandson appears about the same age as our daughter, to whom I love to read. I enjoy photography and computer graphics, and whipped up this colorful rendering of the scene. Enjoy.

I can only hope to be the kind of grandparent I wished I had (mine were wonderful, but never read to me, because Italian was their native tongue), and I would love to bring to life this picture with my future grandchildren…..not to be born for a very, very, very long time, I’m sure! (My boys are 11 and 14!)
