In time for Easter – Free Kindle ‘The Tale of Peter Rabbit’

UPDATE: Unfortunately they have raised the price to 99¢.

I admit it. I love free stuff. Especially free books. How about you?

Just in time for Easter Amazon.com is giving away a Kindle Edition of Beatrix Potter’s beloved picture book The Tale of Peter Rabbit ⇠ click here. No worries if you don’t own a Kindle eReader. I don’t have one either.  I simply downloaded the Kindle edition with one click to my iPad via Amazon’s Whispernet free wireless delivery, and read it to our little girl using the free Kindle eReader app for iPad.

Free Kindle Copy of Beatrix Potter's The Tale of Peter Rabbit

Unlike some versions I’ve seen, this edition contains Beatrix Potter’s original illustrations & text. For young children, I should caution there are a few lines you may wish to skip over, e.g. the last part of “…but don’t go into Mr. McGregor’s garden: your Father had an accident there; he was put in a pie by Mrs. McGregor.” It’s a charming classic with a lesson learned about not obeying one’s parents.

*Note: This is not a sponsored post, nor an affiliate link. I loved reading as a child, and have read to our daughter before putting her to bed every night for more than four years. It’s a wonderful bonding time that I hope will instill in her the same love of reading I had. I highly recommend it!

What eReader to you use? Or do you still prefer good old fashioned paper?
