Baby Kisses Komodo Dragon – Wordless Wednesday

Baby Kisses Iguana

Welcome to my first Wordless Wednesday post. Photo credit goes to my wife. This was taken at the Fort Worth Zoo. My daughter is quite an affectionate little girl. She plants kisses right on our dog’s nose, too. Enjoy. Sorry if this was too many worlds. I’m new to this.  😉

  1. Aww I love this picture! Its so cute, looks like she’s holding down his mouth alittle…just to be sure he’s not going to snap up while she’s smooching:)

    1. Thanks, Nikki. Shannon took it on a trip to the Fort Worth Zoo back in April. I hadn’t done a “Wordless Wednesday” post before, and thought this picture was kinda cute. Well, and a bit scary. Molly clearly has no fear. LOL.

Stopping from Mom Loop! If you kiss a frog, you get a prince. What do you get for kissing a komodo dragon?

    1. Hi. Thank you so much for dropping by from Mom Loop. That’s such a great community there on BlogFrog. You have almost a thousand members now, don’t you? I have, of course, already visited your blog, but will def drop by again this afternoon. As for your question, I’m pretty sure you don’t get a prince when you kiss a komodo dragon. Fortunately she seems to be holding his mouth closed, which I must think is a good strategy should one be confronted with the need to kiss one. Have a great weekend!

  2. Thank you for visiting my blog and for your wonderful comment. I think it is so great to have a dad’s perspective on parenting! Loved your post about your reminder to get home! What a little cutie your Molly is, love this picture and her little polka dot dress!! That’s okay that you add words to wordless Wed, I would probably do the same thin, it’s hard for me to not say anything!!!

    1. Hello Linsey. I’ll def need to stop by for any wordless Wednesdays you post. I love your photography. My wife took this picture, so I can take no credit. I’m actually (as an amateur) not a bad photog, but have little time for it these days. Concerning your comment about my post about reminders to get home early, I was really happy to see that wallpaper was one of the most downloaded items from my website. So I guess some other dad’s may be using it too, which makes me feel good. Enjoy your weekend.

  3. What an adorable photo. I will watch for more of your WW.

    1. Thanks, Jill. Kodak was kind enough to give my wife a new camera, so I’ll probably abscond with one of them as they are much better than what I now have, even though they are just pocket sized. As such I’ll be better able to post WW photos. This one was taken by my wife. Have a great weekend!

  4. What a cute little girl!! Very loving! =)

    1. Thanks so much, Nicole. I just left a comment on your blog. Great photos on there. Do you do a Wordless Wednesday? This was my first.

      1. Yeah I usually do because there are days I don’t have much else to write about or the time to do it. lol
I still haven’t ever linked up to it because I never knew where the host (or whatever you wanna call it) was at. Plus it is so quick and easy to do since I take so many pictures of my little one!
It’s a lot of fun! I will have to make sure I come back and see what you do next week! I’ve added you to my google reader too and now I need to put you on my igoogle homepage so I can see it easier. Too many in my google reader!
Wow, sorry I rambled, I do that sometimes. Have a great night!

        1. I know what you mean about ideas and time to blog. We all have our hands so full with daily activities. I keep meaning to jot ideas for blogs down when I have them, but I don’t. Then later I think, “I had a great idea for a blog… what was that?” As for photos, this one was my first. I’ll take the camera with me today and perhaps I’ll come up with something for this week. If there are places one is supposed to post one’s Wordless Wednesdays I sure don’t know. Let me know if you find out. Or ask my wife, she’s been blogging longer. She’s “milkandcuddles.com“.

  5. DUDE—No Freakin Way! Are you yankin’ me? i thought it was a statue—You know like “this way to the reptile house” kind of deal. Anyway as much as i like lizards [as an adult i did get to pet a komodo on a sidewalk on nyc’s uws] i don’t know if i’d have been that brave when i was 3ys old. All hail Molly 😀

    1. LOL. She is pretty fearless. She had just turned two when this was taken. It is a stature at the zoo. A real komodo dragon would think she’d make a tasty snack.

  6. She is tooooo cute! When I saw the heading I thought it would be a stuffed animal 😉

    1. Thanks, Nicole! 🙂 Nope, a bronze statue at the zoo.

  7. I’m pretty sure Komodo dragon saliva is extremely poisonous, so even if a tiny drop some how managed to touch her, she’d be in serious danger

    1. I don’t doubt it. Fortunately this one at the zoo was made of bronze. 🙂

  8. I was wondering if I could use this picture in a story I am writing to enter a contest free of charge. Would that be possible to be able to get a copy so I can copy and paste it with your permission, and of course, you name if you want. Thank you.

    1. Thank you so much for doing the right thing and asking, Lucy. Unfortunately I’m not comfortable selling photos of our daughter. I hope you understand. Sending you and yours all the best!
