It’s almost time once again for our streets to be overrun by princesses, pirates and super heroes. Like zombies they’ll roam the night in packs ravenously in search of sugary goodness. Do your kids trick-or-treat in your neighborhood, or at church, someplace else or not at all? Here are 12 tips you need to know to be sure you’re little princesses and pirates are safe this Halloween 2014:

  1. Michael, our family usually makes the rounds with relatives. Each Aunt, Uncle and Grandparent we visit allows us to do a bit of trick-or-treating in their neighborhood, as well as giving out candy, too. My daughters really like driving to everyone’s house, especially when they get to hang out with their cousins who are roughly the same age.


    1. That sounds nice, Mitch. We don’t have much family in the area, but our four-year-old daughter has a number of friends her age in our neighborhood. We usually do a little trick-or-treating with them in our neighborhood, and then head home to dole out the sugary goodness to the kiddos that come to our house. Some of the little one’s costumes are so darned cute! Have a great Halloween, Mitch.
