This post is sponsored by BlinkBuggy, a fantastic app I wish I’d known about sooner. I’m sharing it because I sincerely think you are going to love it.
As new parents, my wife and I were overwhelmed. We were so consumed with the day to day, and night to night newborn joys and difficulties – that we often forgot to stop and take in the moment!
When we look back now at the photos and video we took during that time, we both wish we had more! And we wish it was organized in an easier way!
But you can learn from our mistake.
BlinkBuggy is an intuitive and helpful smartphone App that allows you to easily upload photos from your computer and even Facebook, and then organizes them into an online digital baby book! Yes, a digital baby book! But it gets even better!
BlinkBuggy is about to get exponentially more awesome – and you can sign up to get first access!
Watch your child’s face change before your eyes, see them grow up in a beautifully edited video you created with BlinkBuggy!
And you can start using the App with any age child!
- You register for the app.
- BlinkBuggy sends you a nice reminder once a week to take and upload a video (that’s all you have to do!).
- BlinkBuggy grabs the first 3 seconds of each video and strings it together week after week, to automatically create your time lapse!
Time – lapse video. It’s the kind of thing we would all love to do for our kids, but it’s hard to do on your own. Most parent’s aren’t professional video editors! That’s why BlinkBuggy created this!
You can start using the BlinkBuggy app for capturing all your memories (including notes and quotes in one place – securely and with full control over privacy) immediately! BlinkBuggy is available both through the web and an iPhone app.
Get on the list now and breath a sigh of relief – no more guilt over unfinished baby books! And get ready to be blown away by the time lapse videos of your child, that get made without you having to edit them!
The new time lapse feature will be rolled out soon, and early access will only be given to those who sign up to be in the first wave of authorized users!
Capturing childhood… just got easier!

Thanks, Liz! I’ve struggled through editing movies on my phone before, but this will make it super easy, even for someone with no technical know how.
What a fun app!! That would have been great to have when my kids were little, but I can still see a reason to have it. Thanks for the info!

Hi Sara. Yeah, my wife will tell you that I’m not the always at organizing family photos. Anyway, I’m starting fresh now. Never too late?
Sounds like a great app for parents. I don’t have a smart phone so I have to admit to being hapless and appless

Thanks for dropping by from your wee Montana farm, Patty! Give those farm cats and goats of yours a pat on the head for me!
A friend of mine is doing a one-second video every day & strings them together monthly. It’s just gorgeous to capture all of the mega important moments & the daily ones too. I would love to do the same thing, but I just don’t have time. I love that this does it for you. Can’t get any easier!

Your friend’s project sounds awesome, Crystal. I’m afraid I’d never finish a project like that. This app, however, could make a huge difference in sticking with it, and in the quality of the finished project. Have a super day!
What a cool app! I love a well done time lapse and the idea of seeing my children grow before my eyes is intriguing. Sad;y my girls are mostly grown up by now… so we’ll have to wait ( a long time ) for grand-babies 🙂

Thanks so much for dropping by, Valerie! Hope your afternoon is going great? Getting some much need rain here in Dallas today.
What a neat app! I wish they had that back when my boys were younger!

Hi Rachel. Yeah, technology keeps moving forward. Who knows what cool stuff will be out next? I’d like 3D holographic video capture/projection? Sorry, had a brief Star Trek geek out moment. 😉
I guess this app died? I’ve been working on a similar concept that makes a timelapse of your kid growing up from photos. It uses face recognition to spot the eyes and then rotate/zoom so that the face is perfectly aligned between shots. It’s a web app so you can use it on any device. The product is called Kidlapse.com, hope you can check it out.

Thanks, Rob. Yeah, I guess they didn’t survive. The app business is rough, as you know. I’ll check yours out.
