    Stopping form Mom Loop!
    P.S. Love your party post!

    1. So happy to have a visitor from Mom Loop. For any readers who don’t know what the online community Mom Loop is, there’s more further down on my right column… or you can just go to BlogFrog.com/MomLoop.

  2. Stopping by from the UBP11. I love seeing what dads have to say!
I’m hoping that no one plays an April Fools joke on me today!

    1. OMG… my wife played the funniest (well not so much at the time) April Fool’s joke on me tonight. As I left my campus office and walked to my car… it was gone. I thought it was stolen or towed or something. I was about to call the police when she called me. She moved it and filmed me walking around looking for it. She and her two year old accomplice got me good!

No April Fool’s jokes and I didn’t even remember in time to get my kids today before they left for school.

    1. Hi Jennifer. Read my comment reply just above yours… my wife got me good for April Fool’s Day! 🙂

  3. Hi there. No April Fool’s jokes here. I hope you’ll stop by my blog:

    1. Hey Donny, you’re comment got caught in my overzealous spam filter. I just rescued it. Hope you are having a great day. I’m the newest follower of your blog, facebook and twitter. Have a super day!

  4. Nice to meet you! Let’s party. 🙂

    1. Absolutely! I’m going to go visit everyone’s blogs and start following. I love meeting great new bloggers to read. Thanks so much for stopping by!

  5. Stopping by from UBP11. I love looing at the Daddy blogs, nice to see a different perspective.

    1. Thanks you so much, Laurie. I guess daddy’s do offer something different. And I’m sure everyone of us is different, too. I just try to share life from my unique perspective (isn’t everyone’s perspective unique) and I love reading other peoples blogs! Thanks for stopping by!

  6. Dropping by from the #ubp11. I already follow you on Twitter and I love seeing you post about your wife & daughter! It’s very precious. No April Fools jokes this year. I kind of bombed in that area. Oh well..

As for your postscripts…um, they leave a lot to be desired. *grin*

    I’m #115 here’s my link: http://wovenbywords.blogspot.com/2011/03/2011-ultimate-blog-party.html

    1. Thank you, Mimi. I am one lucky guy to have such a wonderful wife and baby. Though, OMG… my wife played the funniest April Fool’s joke on me tonight. As I left work my car was gone. The lot was completely empty. I thought it was stolen or towed or something. I was about to call the police when she called me. She moved it and filmed me walking around looking for it. She and her two year old accomplice got me good!

  7. I don’t come across too many dad blogs. Love the picture of the feet….too bad they don’t stay that small for long.

    Stopping by from UBP!

    1. Thanks so much for dropping by, Laura. My wife took my profile photo of mine and my babies feet. It was a rough photo shoot. Who am I kidding? I slept through it. I do love it, too… and I also wish they didn’t grow up so fast. But it’s quite the exciting ride. 🙂

Hello! I’m your UBP11 party guest. I’m Happy to Party with you! I am a new follower and would love for you to come follow back and like us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Jeep-Almighty/200866719936819.

    1. Hey Jeep Almighty! Great to meet another dad. I’m your newest follower on Facebook! It’s funny there are so few fathers represented on UBP11, at least the last time I looked. Have a great day!

    Hello!
Love your blog. Nice difference to see a guy around here.
Would love to network. Find me at http://www.way2goodlife.com
P.S. Also if you can find a minute and vote for me as elenka29 here http://www.mamavation.com/2011/03/vote-for-mamavation-mom-3.html
(it’s a competition to get into fitness bootcamp. There is no registration – just click and submit). Looking forward to reading more of your posts

    1. Oh no. I went to vote for you, but was too late. Your comment got caught in my spam filter (probably because you included more than one link in it) and I just rescued it. Hope you got into the bootcamp. I’m your newest follower on your blog (you can recognize me by my feet). LOL. And was already following you on Twitter. Have a great day!

  8. Connected from mom loop, and love that there is a daddy blog! Just spent some time glancing through posts–love the different perspective. Thanks for making us laugh and thanks for taking the dad job seriously!

    1. Hello Mary. Happy to have a blogfrog.com/MomLoop peep dropping by. Isn’t that a great online community for moms? I really appreciate your comments about my blog… and that you took time to read a few posts. Thank you. I read about your April Fool’s joke gone wrong on your blog. My wife had one go partly right and partly wrong, too. I wrote about the “gone right” part in a couple of the comments above, but will let her blog about the “gone wrong” parts. 😉

  9. My five year old decided to just tell me random knock-knock jokes as his April Fools prank. He likes to play tricks, so I’m surprised he didn’t do anything crazy today. I guess he figures he tricks me every other day, so he’d take a day off as his April Fool joke. Your wife’s trick is hilarious! I’m not that clever.

    I’m a new follower from the UBP11.

    1. Sure my wife’s April Fools’ Joke was hilarlious to you. 😉 Actually it was a really good one until I started to call the police about my stolen car (more on that in comments replies above in case someone’s reading this and wonders what I’m talking about). So your 5 year old is a jokster, eh? I wondered about how humor develops in kids, and when? My 2.5 year old has a cute sense of humor, but it’s not fully formed yet, of course. Thanks for dropping by from UBP11. I’ll be heading to your site, now.

  10. Nice to see dad’s joining the fun too! Looking forward to reading more.

    1. Wow… I just came from your blog. You are quite the talented photographer! And I’m sure you’re making your new followers form the frozen wastelands of the north rather jealous with all that Miami sunshine. A pleasure to meet you. I’m your newest follower on GFC and already follow you on Twitter. Have a great day!

Hi, found you through UBP11, love to read unique daddy blogs. I added you on twitter 🙂

No april fools pranks on me yesterday, and yes, i do have too much time on my hands, its the insomnia you see lol

    1. Hi, thanks so much for stopping by! Sorry to hear about your insomnia. Perhaps you’re still on New Zealand time… though after 7 years that seems unlikely. I’m following your blog, and will add on on Twitter if I haven’t already. Hope the rest of your weekend is great!

  11. You make me smile….and I love blogs that do that.

Stopping back to say happy partying and now I’m following you, too. 🙂

    1. It makes me happy I make you smile, Becca. 🙂 I was, of course, already following your blog and on twitter. Have a good one!

  12. Thanks for the Blog Party info. I’m new at this but I’m having a blast so far!

    1. Last year was my introduction to most of this. I’ve been blogging for about 7 years, but the “A Daddy Blog” gig is pretty new (2 years) since we had our first baby girl. I’m totally smitten with her and am doing my best to be a good daddy. I guess that’s what all parents do. So nice to meet you. I’m your first follower on your blog… and proud to be. Thanks again for stopping!

  13. Thanks for the Blog Party info. Sounds like fun!

    1. You’re welcome, Bruna. Not only can you register to win hundreds of cool prizes, but you promote your blog, twitter & facebook pages via categorized linkies. Have fun! 🙂

You crack me up already! And you have a BF community? I just joined!
    Have a great party!

    1. Thank you so much. I tend to either make people laugh or cry… and hopefully on the times I mean to. LOL. I just came from your blog. I’m following you now so I won’t miss more posts. Also following you on Twitter. Have a lovely evening. I put my sweet 2 year old to bed about an hour ago and she’s fast asleep. I put her to bed every night. It was my wife’s idea originally (2.5 years ago) and is great daddy daughter time. Sweet dreams!

  14. Great to meet you! It’s always nice to hear from Dads too! 🙂

    1. Hi, Kat. I’m so jealous you’re going to Blissdom2011 in Toronto. It starts on my birthday and should be a lovely time to be there. I know you are Canadian to begin with, but it’s clearly quite different than your neck of the proverbial woods. Have a lovely week!

    • carma on at

I played a nice April Fool’s joke (at my husband’s expense ‘natch) – hope you are enjoying the party!!!

    1. Hi Carma. Did you read above in the comments what my wife did to me?! She moved my car and filmed me on hidden camera walking around my parking lot looking for it. She finally had to ‘fess up when she saw my phoning the police on my cell. LOL.

I’ll be dropping by your blog in a second. Thanks for participating in my shameless promotion and for actually reading some blogs. There are a few I’m particularly proud of. Have a lovely day!

Stopping in from UBP! Great to see the view from the dad’s side… Does that mean there’s less drama here? (Best not to answer that, me thinks.) You should check out the posts from NewBourne Identity at It Builds Character – we’ve got both the mamas and the papas working, although not musically.

    Enjoy the party!

    1. Hi. Just got back from your blog. Sorry about the start of your Monday. Hope the rest of the week looks up! You’ve got the Mama and the Papas working for you. Starts me California Dreaming… and I need little encouragement to daydream. 😉 I couldn’t find a twitter link on your blog, but discovered (logically) it’s the same as the name you gave above… so am following you there and liked you on Facebook as well. Happy Monday!

Hello, stopping by from the UBP 2011! I love the thought of reading posts from a man’s point of view. Your posts are very engaging. If you haven’t already, I would love for you to visit http://www.fingerclicksaver.com to become a follower, if you wish. Have a great week!

    1. Hi Susan. Thanks so much for dropping by from UBP11! I’m your newest follower on your blog and on Twitter. So nice to meet you. I love this party as I get to meet so many great folks. I’ll def be back to your blog often for cost savings tips and such. We all can use help in that area these days.

  15. Over from UBP11.

Great to have a man on board!!!

    Party on!

    1. Thanks Jillian,

It’s surprising how few dads there are on UBP11. I’m happy to be on board, as you say. I’m your newest follower on your blog and twitter. Like your tartan background on both. Party on yourself!

I’m a new follower from the Monday Mingle hop. Will be interesting to see a dad’s perspective!

    1. Hi Dawn.

So happy you dropped by from the Monday Mingle hop. My friend Maria was promoting it, and I figured why not? If you haven’t checked out the UBP11 (click on the graphic at the start of my post) do give it a look. It’s like a huge blog hop party, complete with some pretty great prizes. Thanks again for stopping by.

      -Michael

p.s. I’m following your blog (great photos, btw), but did not notice a twitter link. If you use twitter let me know, as I find both twitter and facebook a great way to keep up with blogs I want to follow.

  16. I think it’s awesome that you’re a dad blogger! I enjoyed checking out your site…hope you’ll stop by and visit mine:

Hi! It’s nice to meet you. I love that cute picture of the feet. And I read about the April Fool’s joke your wife played on you- too funny! Wish I’d have thought of that…

    1. Thank you, Anne. Yes, it was pretty funny. She had me going. Almost called the police on her before I realized it was a joke. 😉

  17. Love your blog. It’s so cool to see a father loving his kids. Heartwarming:)

    1. Hi, Ali. I was just checking out your literature club. Very cool. As you may have noted, I love reading and have read to my 2 year old daughter almost every night of her life. Thanks so much for the kind words about my blog.

5 Minutes for Mom’s Annual Ultimate Blog Party 2011 I was recommended this blog by my cousin. I’m not sure whether this post is written by him as no one else know such detailed about my difficulty. You are amazing! Thanks! your article about 5 Minutes for Mom’s Annual Ultimate Blog Party 2011Best Regards Justin

    1. Sorry, Justin, but you’ve got me confused with someone else. Thanks anyway.

    • Sofia on at

If you’re drinking a really bold, high-alcohol red wine when it’s hot outside, it can take its toll. When you’re selecting a warm weather red, instead look for something with a lower alcohol content. Starting with around 12% alcohol is a good place to be. This is particularly important if you’re choosing wine for entertaining.

    1. Or you could drink water? Just saying. 🙂
